Michael McCarron moves from the Predators to the Minnesota Wild.
A few minutes ago, the Minnesota Wild announced that they have acquired 30-year-old forward Michael McCarron from the Predators. To do this, the Wild had to part with a 2nd round pick in 2028.

So, by letting go of a fourth-line player, the Predators get a good asset; however, the Preds will have to wait until 2028 to find out who that player will be. They had announced earlier in the evening that Michael McCarron would miss tonight's game against the Blue Jackets due to roster movement. The American has recorded 12 points in 52 games this season. He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 2013 in the first round. In conclusion, this is a good trade for the Predators and a rebuild is on the horizon.
